My favorit fish

 Betta is a my favorite fish. This fish others names are fighting fish and labyrinth fish. these fish are sensitive and complex individuals. Betta fish are native to Asia ,where they live in the shallow water of marshes, ponds, or slow moving streams. Male bettas are devoted fathers who build bubble nests for their young with their mouths and fiercely protect their babies form predators. just like us betta fish are diurnal. that me an s they are active during the day and sleep  at night requiring darkness to get a good nights rest. while some betta are captured in the wild the vast majority of those sold in the u. s. come form breeding farms in Thailand and  other countries in south east Asia. Bettas are carnivorous animals who, in nature ,eat mostly plants roots may keep them a live for a while, but since it lacks the proper nutrients for this species the fish eventually become sick and die .In the wild their average life spans 2 years. As pet, they can live for 3-5years.
